Love It [Posted on 2008-08-12] First I questioned what was wrong with it that it's priced so low, my daughter had just purchased another brand for twice the price. I have features she doesn't have, I have more megapixels and I love the quality of the photos. Just enough for what I need. I am not techno savvy like my twentysomething daughter, but I was able to manage the basics in record time. Now, if I can just remember not to put my eye upon to the screen looking for the viewfinder...
Excellent Camera for the Price [Posted on 2008-08-14] While I do wish it had a viewfinder, I think that for the price, this is a great camera. I purchased it over others becaue it is compatible with the printer/docking station that I bought with my previous camera (I bought this camera because the other one dropped in a parking lot and could not be repaired). I am thrilled with the quality of the photos and ease of use.
Love the camera [Posted on 2008-08-14] I love the ease of picture taking, and the wonderful features for different photo types.
Starving For Light [Posted on 2008-08-18] Great camera for daylight, fast action, video, great zoom. It lacks a little in the low light, arena. It is a great deal for the price that I payed.
Don't buy this camera [Posted on 2008-08-19] I bought one of the Kodak C813's and returned it for a Samsung S860 for the same price.
The Kodak's pictures were very grainy and the battery life is very short on a set of batteries.
The EasyShare software was the only way Windows could see the camera. Fedora 8 did detect it with no problems. Hated to be locked into the EasyShare software.
The Samsung S860 does a much better job. It shows up as a USB drive to Windows XP and you can preview images and copy them with no problem without loading any software. The S860 also has many more functions (such as voice notes for the photo) and settings.
Don't waste your money on the C813!
