No Deal [Posted on 2008-05-10]
$28 for $25. does not make any sense. Like other reviewers said, just rather drive to the store and pick it up for the exact dollar amount

Buyer be ware!!! [Posted on 2008-06-30]
- Seller was scrupulously honest.
- Card was ordered by my son not realizing that he was paying WAY too much.
- $28 for a $25 card plus $7 in shipping. Nearly $10 premium.
- For a card that he could have bought at the local market for $0 premium.
- That said, $10 is a cheap life lesson for him!

- More seller info: they even called me to make things right.
- I declined so I could preserve the review.
- They were totally cool and reasonable.
- And there are a few atypical reasons why buying these makes sense.

- So, buyer be ware, this product is almost certainly not a good idea for you!!!

...we will never buy another song from iTunes ever again because you can't reliably play it. [Posted on 2008-08-04]
The Digital Rights Management (DRM) that Apple jams onto the iTunes purchases is ridiculously encumbering.

It can only be played on an authorized iPod or iTunes equipped PC.

Yeah, you can burn it to a CD if you plan on wasting time and media to do so, or jack around with less than reliable virtual CD's that work with intermittent results.

OR, you can try to screw around with DRM stripping software that Steve Jobs has sued into submission under threats of overwhelming litigation.
-------------------------------------------
Workaround: If you buy iTunes music, then waste the time and blank CD's to burn songs to audio wav files using the iTunes CD export.

Then, take the CD and use Windows Media Player or something else to convert to MP3's, Media Player won't recognize the CD to encode the song info but you can manually edit the CD info via tunes lookup or just manually type it up if you have to.

You'll only have to do this once and when you have your minted MP3, use it instead of the AAC, M4p iTunes junk.

OR JUST SEE IF YOU CAN BUY THE SAME SONG FROM AMAZON MP3 DOWNLOAD, THEY LET YOU PLAY YOUR SONG FILES ON ANY DEVICE THAT CAN PLAY MP3's.

After you convert your iTunes song into an encoded MP3, then use your licensed MP3 song and play it wherever and whenever you want.

iTunes sucks and they want more money to sell you songs without the DRM, Apple wants more money from you so you can play your licensed song wherever and whenever you want as you expected to.

Did you see the used ones? [Posted on 2008-08-14]
I understand the $28 thing but did you see how much it was for used ones? That's not bad! $24.95 for a $25 dollar card!

Good Value If... [Posted on 2008-08-27]
This IS ACTUALLY a good idea if you don't live in a country where iTunes are available. So I can't actually drive down to the store and buy a card - but I can buy one here and load it on the internet. I reckon it's worth a few extra bucks so I can actually purchase from iTunes
